The company was formed in 1993 to provide environmental advisory and management services to government and industry, especially in the field of waste management and environmental services. The name Integrated Skills came from the use of diverse disciplines to evolve innovative solutions. Over the following years the Company has built a strong consultancy base in the UK and internationally.

for ISL was the development of the first fully operational street works coordination software, using GIS and Workflow; Trafficworx™.

In 2000, Integrated Skills acquired distribution rights to RouteSmart™, the world's leading high-density routing software. It has become a route optimisation system of choice by a large number of organisations in the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East environmental and postal services sectors.

Later in the decade Integrated Skills developed a GIS software solution to manage the waste and recycling operation in the Kingdom of Bahrain - Performance Manager™.

In 2008, Integrated Skills added exclusive distribution rights to WinRoute™, a leading routing solution for the logistics industry which is used by over 200 organisations in Europe.

In 2011 ISL formed a partnership with the Descartes Systems Group to sell Software-as-a-Service route planning and scheduling solutions into the UK including RoutePlanner™, RoutePlanner OnDemand™ and RoutePlanner Reservations™.

Also in 2011, ISL launched RouteSmart Navigator™, a UK developed in-cab route/round navigation solution for RouteSmart users in all market sectors.

2012 will see the launch of RouteSmart Horizon™, a software solution to manage operational environmental services.
