Holdex (Plywood) Ltd. - Blackburn

Established by the Gibbons family in 1966 when, having made their name in the building trade, the brothers decided to make use of their vast knowledge and experience of the industry, to open a small timber merchants in Mayfield Street, Blackburn.

However, due to constant growth in the early years, the premises were soon deemed to be too small and so uprooted and moved into their current location in Bennington Street in the early ’70s.

Today, it is from these premises that the company continues to prosper, yet still retains its links with members of the Gibbons family, who remain actively involved in the daily running of the company.
